tuttut arranges every transcription with a compact fret box. You decide whether its position is automatic or fixed.
OverridePosition-aware
Manual starting position
Select a starting fret when you know where you played the phrase. The optimizer uses that fret as the beginning of its four-fret box.

Editing and playback
The notation is always the main surface.
Click a cell to type, drag to select, or use the ruler to choose where playback starts.
Play from anywhere
Set the green playhead, change speed, toggle the click, and loop any selected range.
Fast, direct note entry

FAQ
Common questions.
Which analysis method should I start with?+
Basic Pitch v2 is the best general starting point and supports denser material. For a very clean, single-note take, the lighter pitch methods can be useful when you want a simpler result.
What is the difference between the fret-box strategies?+
Opening phrase preserves the original behavior and anchors the hand position from the first five fretted notes. Whole-song balance evaluates the complete fingering path and chooses the most useful box overall.
Why does analysis need a BPM?+
The BPM defines the timing grid used to place notes. Use Auto to detect it from the selected audio, or Tap if you can feel the pulse more reliably than the detector.
Where is my work saved?+
The current draft is stored locally in the browser as you edit. Saved tabs and recordings are also available from the Library panel when the backend is running.
Are audio files stored?+
No. Everything stays local on your device, improving security and speed. Only audio processing takes place on the server.
Does it detect chords?+
Yes. The transcription can detect both chords and notes when appropriate.
How long does transcription take?+
It can take from a couple of seconds to a few minutes, depending on the length of the audio.
Can I edit the generated tabs?+
Yes. You can correct and refine generated tabs in the editor, adding hammer-ons, pull-offs, and more as needed.
